WCWFC 0-3 Boldmere St Michaels
City suffer a 0-3 defeat at Sixways to Boldmere St Michaels on our pink matchday in support of Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven.
In the 9th minute of the game, Boldmere struck first after Straker hit a sublime curling effort from distance on the left side of the pitch looping over Bridgwater.
Shortly after in the 14th minute, the game got even worse for City after Bellamy was given a straight red after an altercation with Boldmere captain Formaston with her getting a yellow in the process.
Going down to ten players didn't seem to phase City, in a physical encounter Worcester held their own and came close to getting an equaliser when Highway had a go from distance after spotting the keeper off her line but it just went wide.
The game consisted of many tackles and fouls, with Boldmere picking up a couple of yellow cards before halftime for Cooper and Edwards. City went in at half time 0-1 down.
The second half continued to be physical with City holding their own, Crew found herself in the book too after a foul. The game was lacking in chances from both sides, Highway had another go from distance which just sailed over the bar.
Boldmere killed the game off with two goals in stoppage time, the first coming from Straker after Boldmere hit City on the counter from a set piece. Then a couple of minutes later Astell's long distance strike beat Bridgwater to make it three.
