The WCWFC RISE: Girls Football Development Hub is aimed at nurturing the next generation of talented female footballers in Worcestershire. The WCWFC RISE Hub offers a unique opportunity for U14 and U16 players to supplement their grassroots club experience with an additional, high quality training programme.
This 6-week programme is designed to enhance the technical, tactical, and physical skills of U14 and U16 girls while supporting their holistic development. It focuses on football training alongside workshops covering nutrition, strength & conditioning, media, and leadership skills. The programme is designed to complement participation with grassroots clubs.
What is the WCWFC RISE: Football Development Hub?
6-Week Taster Programme for female footballers in years 8 and 9 (6pm-7pm) and 10 and 11 (7pm-8pm)
5-Week coaching curriculum with games festival at the end on week 6 (13th December)
Performance Workshops, led by specialists in areas such as female-athlete nutrition, strength and conditioning and media skills (some workshops will be indoor/classroom based prior to the on-pitch session starting)
Local sides invited to group session
Group tickets for participants to FA Women’s National League (Tier 4) games to watch WCWFC at Sixways
Local clubs partnership and coach development opportunities
When and where are the sessions?
6-Week from Friday 8th November - Friday 13th December 2024
Years 8 & 9 (U14s) *6pm-7pm (*indoor workshops start 5:15-5:45)
Years 10 & 11 (U16s) *7pm-8pm (*indoor workshops start 6:15-6:45)
Brand new 3G located at Perdiswell Leisure Centre, Bilford Road, WR3 8DX (free parking, Costa Coffee onsite). Correct footwear must be worn on 3G surfaces.
